SELECTIVE COLOR CHALLENGE

Using Photoshop, you will take a photo, specifically for the Challenge, which will-within itself-tell a story. The portion of the photograph that you choose to be colored, MUST have a reason, it MUST be a prominent part of your “story.” Sound easy? Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news……. It will not be as easy as you think! You may use one single image (even though the use of PS says I can/want to layer multiples-you may not use more than one image.) (**HDR stacking is not considered to be multiple imagery**) Your image MUST show that you know and understand the technical aspect of your camera,-i.e. proper settings used for the scene. Your image MUST be clear and compositionally accurate. Take care in your editing process- it must be edited to the very best of your ability (color blending/saturation/clarity/contrast). When labeling your photograph here are the following guidelines: Give it a “Title” to your story. Also VERY IMPORTANT: YOU MAY NOT USE WATERMARKS OR SIGNATURES ON YOUR SUBMISSION OR THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, as per the rules stated below.
Your comments are also allowed under the images, but refrain from critical critique, due to the fact that changes may not be made once the image has been OFFICIALLY submitted.
Your image MUST be taken for this Challenge and if there is a question by a judge, or Admin….we will ask for your Metadata to be sent.

Due to a discussion with our judges, we have decided that with the level of talent you all possess, we are going to be more critical on technical abilities, from here on out. Our judges are getting a bit cranky as to some images are not always of Competition Standards; (even though we call these “Challenges” it is somewhat of a competition.) HAVE FUN WHILE SHOOTING IT! APFP was designed to help those who choose to learn!
